Brief Description
The payroll software prototype being developed automates the payroll process. Employees and their contract terms need to be configured. Payroll is automated and requires only confirmation of working hours, absences, etc. from the employer (HR specialist, accountant). Significantly reducing the time spent on payroll and providing transparency to employees by involving them in the payroll process through a self-service portal.
Objectives
The smart fully automatic payroll software prototype created during the project is a tool to replace the payroll clerk's workplace. We see significant inefficiency in the field as there are no available fully automatic solutions for small and medium-sized companies.
The goal of the prototype is to make fully automatic payroll available to everyone and so simple that a small business payroll can be handled by the prototype independently or with minimal input (such as entering working hours), up to automatic submission of declarations to the Tax and Customs Board. Automated payroll can only work if all data is digital and transmitted only in machine-to-machine format.
Result
As a result of the prototype, a fully automatic payroll software prototype has been created. The prototype automatically submits income declarations to the Tax and Customs Board and "Wages and Labor Costs" to Statistics Estonia through data-based reporting. The time spent on payroll has decreased and employee efficiency has increased.
An employee self-service portal has been created to increase employee salary awareness and transparency.
